ADC over CJDNS

Post by Emery » 25 Apr 2013, 19:34

ADC has been sucessfully tested with CJDNS https://github.com/cjdelisle/cjdns

The Hyperborian network's first hub: adc://[fca1:ca48:d106:db25:fc47:2cc9:16ff:92f5]:1511

From the CJDNS README:
Cjdns implements an encrypted IPv6 network using public key cryptography for address allocation and a distributed hash table for routing. This provides near zero-configuration networking without many of the security and robustness issues that regular IPv4 and IPv6 networks have.
CJDNS seems to complement ADC quite nicely as it eliminates NAT and provides link layer encryption. It also provides a degree of geopolitical ambiguity as addresses fall uniformly across the fc00::/8 address block.

So while many of us can't expect our ISP's to upgrade from IPv4 anytime soon, ADC over VPN's (and hopefully alternative IP networks) is another reason for hub and client software to support IPv6.
